Apart from that I am working on something that is not for publication until it is out of my hands, and I only have the photos left.
I have allowed myself to be persuaded to go to my son's wedding reception. The thing is, it is in San Francisco. I have never flown before. This is going to be one heck of a weekend. I just hope there is a good supply of long cold soft drinks, and maybe a yarn store adjacent. Meanwhile my head is swirling with things to plan and pack.

On flying: drink lots of water. They keep the cabin air horribly dry.
Take a Sudafed before takeoff (the real stuff; I left some in the kitchen cupboard. Generic, but the right ingredient) and before landing. This will mitigate (but not eliminate) the nasty effects of going to the equivalent of 8000 feet up and back.
If you can stand them, earplugs are good, but remove them before descent!
Avoid coffee and alcohol.
You'll be clearing customs on your first landing in the US, so I hope your travel agent has allowed enough time.
I'll have a cool bag of soft drinks when I go to meet you.
And if it were me, I'd have gone for the internal flight being Southwest Airlines, but that's not something to change.
I'm trying to figure out where your photo was taken from...
