Knitting Knews
This is Lena Alve's Aada. Like all her patterns, the detail is so precise that you can't help but get a lovely finished article. I am so enjoying it!
And this is another guernsey, knitted in Yeoman Yarns Sport - a gorgeous silky merino, which makes a wonderful smooth fabric. It doesn't show in the picture, but the colour has a slight yellowish tinge about it, and it is named Birch, and it does remind me of bark. I chuckled the other week when Ruth Goodman did her piece about guernseys, in Polperro. She showed her own knitting and she was at just the same stage with hers as I was with mine. Closer to finishing now, and no pressure, since the westher has at last started to be a little more reasonable!
